Rung is an AI resume builder for iPhone that writes, scores and tailors your resume, then exports it as a PDF. This policy explains what data Rung handles, why, and the controls you have. The short version: your resume is yours, we collect the minimum needed to run the product, and you can export or delete everything at any time.
What we collect
- Account. You sign in with Apple or Google. We receive the identifier and, depending on your choice, the name and email address those providers share. We never see your passwords.
- Resume content. The text you write or import (PDF/Word), such as your experience, education and skills, is stored so the app can work across your devices and sessions.
- App diagnostics. Anonymous crash reports and basic usage signals that tell us which features work and which fail. These are not tied to advertising profiles.
How AI processing works
When you use an AI feature (writing a section, scoring your resume, tailoring it to a job posting), the relevant resume text is sent to our AI provider to generate the result and is used only to produce that result. Your resume content is not used to train AI models and is not sold to anyone.
This website
This marketing site runs cookieless analytics (PostHog, EU servers) in anonymous mode: no cookies are set, no cross-site tracking happens, and no account is created for you. We count page views and taps on the App Store link to understand what works.
Your rights and controls
- Export. You can export your data from the app at any time.
- Delete. You can delete your account and all associated data from inside the app; no email required, no retention tricks.
- Ask. For any privacy question or request, contact us at the address below; we respond to all requests within 30 days.
Data security and retention
Your data is stored with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. We keep it only as long as your account exists; when you delete your account, associated content is removed from production systems without undue delay.
Children
Rung is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update this page and revise the date above. Continued use after a change means the updated policy applies.
